The Workbooks

The Success with Phonics: Letters and Sounds workbooks help children to learn the most common sounds in English and their spellings. The letters are not taught in alphabetic order. A combination of vowels and consonants are taught to build words quickly and easily. The first four letters, s, a, t, p, are introduced first. This phoneme sequence is used in many English-speaking countries. Using this sequence, children can make the words: at, sat, pat, tap, and sap, with the first four letters. High frequency words with irregular spelling patterns are also taught, using the Read-Write-Spell strategy. 

The fully reproducible sheets contain engaging activities that help children to master early learning skills such as phonemic awareness, phonics, handwriting, spelling, high frequency words, comprehension skills and sentence building.
